On the occasion of landings and Arrivals, at the Venice airport runway 04R is used. During ILS approach procedures the aircraft land with a heading oriented at 041 degrees magnetic and a NAV frequency of 109.95. Also usable are VOR-DME procedures for 04R and 04L, when used.
Runway 04L/22R is used for the most part sometimes, if not always, as a main taxiway.
Runway 04R is used, if the wind component is optimal, for takeoffs. To enter this area the planes stop at holding point B1 or B2, aircraft designated "heavy" can only enter holding point B2.

Planes departing from this airport have numerous SIDs; who is heading to North will use a SID with VIC as vor (flights to BZO are now diverted to VIC), those heading south will use a SID which will have CHI as vor and instead the few flights that yes heading east they will have the ROSKA fix as their first route point.
