The bus station is located near the main complex of the
Zurich Airport, numerous urban and regional lines connect the main cities
of Switzerland.
The extension of the airport area is mostly located in the municipality of Kloten, as well as in smaller parts
in the municipalities of Opfikon-Glattbrugg, Rümlang, Oberglatt and Winkel, about 13 kilometers from Zurich
north of the city.
In particular Zurich Airport owns three runways: 16/34 of 3,700 m, 14/32 of 3,300 m and 10/28 of 2,500 m in length.

Furthermore Zurich airport is a hub of the Swiss International Air Lines and Lufthansa airlines, as well as the base of Belair, Edelweiss Air, Helvetic Airways and Rega the Swiss Air Rescue Organization.
In addition to buses, you can use trams to get to Zurich airport, tram line no. 10 Glatttalbahn connects Zurich airport with the station main railway, crossing via Glattpark, Zurich-Oerlikon, Milchbuck and Irchel. Between Bahnhof Oerlikon Ost/Est and the airport the tram has exclusive use of the tracks, thus guaranteeing a fast and punctual route even during rush hours. The tram runs every 7 or 15 minutes.
While the new line n° 12 connects the airport, Glattbrugg and Wallisellen railway station with the center of Stettbach. Trams run every 15 minutes and are an efficient way to travel in the Glatt Valley.
Zurich airport is located just 10 kilometers north of the city centre, via the A20 motorway it is possible reach the Swiss airport. Furthermore, at the Zurich Airport there are the offices of the largest car rental companies and local companies.
