Located about 28 kilometers from the capital, Rome's Fiumicino Airport is the largest airport Italian by number of passengers in transit, it has four terminals intended for flight arrivals and departures national, international and intercontinental. Also referred to as Leonardo da Vinci the Fiumicino Airport of Rome has four runways for landing and the aircraft take off. Regarding transport to reach the airport there are several bus lines that connect it to the capital and to other minor urban centres, as well as to the main stations and Ciampino.

Cotral buses connect each terminal to the Tiburtina railway station in central Rome, they also stop in Piazza dei Cinquecento, in front of Roma Termini station, travel tickets can be purchased directly on board the bus. A shuttle service connects all Terminals to Terminal 5 every 20 minutes, from 5:00 to 18:00.
